When Cam Newton signed with the Patriots, it sent NFL into a frenzy. Cam Newton signed a one year, 1.5 million dollar deal with the Patriots with an additional 6 million dollars in incentives during the 2020 season. With the exit of Tom Brady and the signing of their new QB, the Patriots become the first team in NFL history to get rid of an MVP QB and sign another MVP QB. Cam Newton is going to have to battle a 10-year veteran Brian Hoyer and 2nd year QB Jarrett Stidham and two undrafted quarterbacks Brian Lewerke from Michigan state and J'mar Smith who played at Louisiana Tech for the starting job. Newton is a 30-year-old with strengths in running the ball and not afraid of contact with being 6 foot 5 inches, Cam’s weakness are being inaccuracy throws. As of now, the whole Pats community is waiting to see what the former MVP can do to save the new-look Patriots
